ADP Assessments
Helping you access the mobility equipment you need.
We provide authorized Assistive Devices Program (ADP) assessments to help eligible Ontario residents access government-funded mobility equipment that supports safety, independence, and daily function.
What Is The Assistive Devices Program?
ADP is an Ontario government-funded program that contributes toward the cost of approved assistive devices for individuals with long-term physical disabilities. The mobility program covers a portion of the cost for equipment like walkers, wheelchairs, positioning devices, and other mobility aids.
To access ADP funding, you need an assessment from an authorized assessor — which is what we provide at our clinic.
Our ADP assessor is Fady Rofail PT
Frequently asked questions about ADP assessments
ADP is available to Ontario residents with a valid Ontario Health Insurance Plan (OHIP) card who have a long-term physical disability requiring assistive devices. Your assessor can help determine your eligibility.
ADP covers a wide range of mobility and assistive devices including walkers, manual and power wheelchairs, positioning devices, and other approved equipment. The program typically funds 75% of the cost for most devices.
A physician's prescription is typically the first step for ADP-funded devices for certain medical purposes. We can guide you through the process and let you know what documentation is needed.
Timelines vary depending on the device and approval process. After your assessment, we submit the ADP application and work with the vendor to get your equipment to you as quickly as possible.
Contact us for information about assessment fees. The assessment itself is separate from the ADP funding that covers the cost of the device.
