Conditions we treat

Physiotherapy is commonly used for back and neck pain, joint injuries, sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain conditions, and injuries related to motor vehicle accidents or workplace incidents.

Low back pain

Acute or chronic — herniated discs, arthritis, sciatica, sacroiliac dysfunction, and more. Hands-on physiotherapy can help you manage pain and get moving again.

Neck pain

Turning your head shouldn't hurt. Whether it's radiating pain, numbness, stiffness, or tension headaches — neck problems take many forms, and physiotherapy can help

Headaches & Migraines

When biomechanical issues are contributing to your headaches, pain medication only treats the symptom. We work to find and correct the root causes.

Joint Pain

Your body is built to move, and healthy joints make that possible. Pain is a signal that something isn't functioning the way it should.

Sprains & Strains

Ankle, knee, wrist, or anything else — proper hands-on rehabilitation helps reduce your recovery time and lowers the risk of re-injury.

Post-Surgical Rehab

Getting back to full function after surgery takes guided, progressive rehabilitation. We work with your surgical team to support your recovery safely.

Sports Injuries

From weekend athletes to competitive players — we help you recover from injury, rebuild strength, and get back on the field, court, or track.

Our approach to physiotherapy

At Physiotherapy & Beyond, we take a total-body approach to assessment and treatment. Many of the biomechanical problems that bring you through our door aren't one-dimensional — and their treatment shouldn't be either.

Our experienced physiotherapists provide one-on-one sessions using advanced manual therapy techniques including Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT), Mulligan, McKenzie, and Schroth methods, as well as soft-tissue techniques that address visceral, fascial, neural, and cranial components.

These techniques involve gentle joint and tissue mobilization to promote tissue repair, restore normal structure, and improve mobility and function. When needed, we also offer modalities including laser, ultrasound, TENS, paraffin wax, heat, and cryotherapy.

Every treatment plan is individualized. We find the related components of a complex problem and address them together — because that's how you get the most comprehensive and lasting results.

MVA & WSIB Physiotherapy

We provide structured physiotherapy programs, progress reporting, and functional recovery support for approved motor vehicle accident and WSIB claims.

Frequently asked questions about physiotherapy

Physiotherapy doesn't need to hurt. In some cases, you may feel varying degrees of discomfort, but using the least painful methods is always our priority. If you're in pain during a session, tell your physiotherapist — they'll adjust their approach.

During your first session, you'll be formally assessed by a physiotherapist. They'll discuss your condition with you and together you'll build a treatment plan. In most cases, treatment will begin during that first visit as well.

Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move freely and exercise. If you can't come dressed for treatment, bring a change of clothes with you.

In many cases, you'll feel better than when you arrived. Exercises and treatment can sometimes cause mild lingering discomfort afterwards. Your physiotherapist will let you know what to expect and how to respond.

Yes, we accept motor vehicle insurance claims. Let us know as soon as possible that you intend to file an automotive claim so we can ensure the process runs smoothly.

We offer direct billing to many third-party health insurance providers. Contact us to find out if we can bill yours directly. If not, we'll provide the documentation you need to submit your own claim.

No referral is needed to book physiotherapy. However, some insurance providers may require one for coverage. Check with your plan if you're unsure.
