Conditions we treat

Osteopathy is commonly used for back and neck pain, joint injuries, sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic pain conditions, and injuries related to motor vehicle accidents or workplace incidents.

Recurring Issues

Issues with breathing, digestive problems, headaches, migraines among lots of others may benefit from osteopathic care. Practitioners will address structures (fascia, muscle, ligamentous structures) to improve their motion and function to facilitate the whole body to work the way its intended to.

Recent Injuries

Sprains, strains, spasms as well as other abrupt injuries can be painful and troublesome. The practitioner will direct their effort on the whole body with particular attention on structure above and below the injury to ensure the best conditions for recovery.

Our approach to Osteopathy

We use a holistic approach, which means we assess the whole body — not just the area where you're experiencing pain. Your body may present symptoms in one area while the source of the problem originates somewhere else entirely. A shoulder issue, for instance, may ultimately trace back to a limitation in the ankle.

Our practitioner works to find and correct limitations throughout the body so everything can function the way it should. Each person is assessed and treated individually using their body's framework. Treatments are uniquely applied to correct structural imbalances and their associated dysfunction.

All manual treatment approaches are guided by the response from your body. Following a session, you may feel a sensation similar to a post-workout feeling — your body adjusting to the changes made during treatment.

Frequently asked questions about osteopathy

Osteopathic treatment is gentle by nature. While you may feel some mild discomfort or post-treatment soreness — similar to how you'd feel after exercise — the techniques are designed to work with your body, not against it.

Osteopathy can help with a wide range of conditions including chronic pain, headaches, digestive issues, joint stiffness, and musculoskeletal dysfunction. Because it takes a whole-body approach, it's often effective for conditions that haven't responded to other treatments.
